Southern Girls - Stitching

Hi there, welcome to our first challenge for the year at Southern Girls, I hope everyone managed to get some crafty time in over the holiday break. The challenge is stitching, an easy one for me because I love to stitch on my layouts.
This is the first layout for awhile (ever?) that I haven't used patterned paper, instead I have used some red tissue paper behind the photos, colour paste &
various embellies.
The photos are of my daughter from when she was travelling around Europe last year.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone, hope you are enjoying the holiday season & are getting to spend time with loved ones & maybe fit in some creative time also. I have had a couple of days scrapping with my sister, which was lovely, and I have a few layouts to share. My daughter, Georgia,  spent 10 weeks travelling around Europe & Scandinavia last year & I finally managed to get some photos printed of her trip. My first layout is of her kayaking at sunset in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Dubrovnik. I absolutely loved Dubrovnik when I did my OE many moons ago so I was really pleased she got to go there.

I have used the Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dream collection, colour paste from Colour Blast & a few embellies from Rainbow Splendour & Charms Creations.

My next layout is also using the Bohemian Dream collection. The paper, embellies & title are all from the collection. These photos of my sister Vicky & I and mum were taken in August on the Sunshine Coast when we went over to visit for Vicky's birthday.

Southern Girls -All that Glitters

Hi there, our last Southern Girls challenge for the year is All that Glitters. Of course I had to do a Xmas layout. I like to get some photos in front of the tree on Xmas morning, sometimes I get a few grumbles & groans but it's Xmas right, photos are a must!! I do have a weakness for Xmas collections but have managed to resist buying any this year so have dipped into my stash & used a mix of papers/embellies from Pinkfresh Studios & Fancy Pants.

I have used glitter embossing powder on my chippie & glitter washi tape also.

Southern Girls - Inks & Sprays

Hi there, I can't believe how fast the last month has gone by since my first SGC share. Time for the next one & the theme this time is inks & sprays. I have had lots of fun with this one & have used the following:

The photo was taken when we went out to lunch just before my oldest daughter, Georgia, headed off on her trip to Europe & Scandinavia in April. She had 10 weeks travelling around, made lots of friends &  had a fantastic time.

SBT 50

My layout for the Scrapbooking Top 50 challenge, I have used the Bo Bunny Petal Lane collection, which features my favourite colour combo: b&w,  pink & yellow 💛

The photo was taken of my girls when we were in Australia visiting my sister on the Sunshine Coast a couple of years ago. I was inspired by the black background on the mood board & the pink & yellow colours.

Southern Girls Challenge - Crazy for Critters

Exciting news, I have been invited to join the Southern Girls Challenge design team. I am really excited to be on the team & looking forward to creating layouts for the challenges. This is my first share for Team Trace which is now up on the blog, the challenge is Crazy for Critters. This photo is from last Xmas, my Mum was staying with us & we were all goofing around with some photo props:

I love to sew on my layouts so have started off by stitching around the outside of my cardstock, the paper is from the Crate Paper Cool Kids range & I've teamed it with a Charms Creations heart & some wood veneers from Rainbow Splendour.

Layouts - 2017

A few of my layouts from this year. I try & scrap most weekends, this is how I relax after a busy week. For inspiration I quite often start with a sketch or a challenge.

Me with my girls on New Years Eve  last year,
the papers are from the
 gorgeous 49 and Market Heirloom collection,
with a Blue Fern chippie & assorted flowers.

       Aimee's birthday in April, I have used a D-Lish Scraps 
Just add Paper kit, they are very cute 
but postage to NZ is a killer so I get them
 sent to my sister's place in Australia
 to pick up when I visit.

Another D-Lish Scraps kit, they

 always include a small stencil

which is the butterflies I have

 texture pasted around the photo.
