Southern Girls - Anything Goes

Hi there, welcome to the last Team Trace challenge for the year (I know I said that last time, but it seems I was wrong!! 😃) This challenge is Anything Goes, my favourite!

I decided to use this amazing cut file from COAPA (Confessions of a Paper Addict), teamed up with Vicki Boutin's Wildflower & Honey collection & a couple of little Bramble Fox hearts.

My photo is of Georgia when we were at the Adele concert, we were soo excited & waiting for her to come on. As we were in Brisbane it was really hot & we had such a great night!!

Southern Girls - Christmas

Hi there, welcome back to another Southern Girls challenge & this time it's Christmas. It still seems to early to be thinking about christmas to me but I know the time between now & then will fly by & once I started my layout I started to get excited about it.

The papers I have used are a mix of a couple of older Pinkfresh Studio collections which suits my photo as it is nearly 5 years old now. Our dog Lucy was helping Aimee open her presents, very cute!

My title is from Bramble Fox along with the hearts & ivy leaves. The embellies are a mix I have had for awhile (lots of stash busting on this layout!) & I made my first shaker pocket for the little xmas tree.

Southern Girls - Anything Goes

Hi there, welcome back to another Southern Girls challenge & this week it's "Anything Goes".

I decided to scrap these photos of my daughter Aimee who moved out of home & into her
first flat at the beginning of this year.

I started with a mixed media background, firstly I gesso'd my paper then added some Shimmerz sprays & some stamping with a Vicki Boutin colour wheel.

I have used papers & embellies from Pretty Little Studio with some extra embellies from an old Rainbow Splendour kit. I have also added a couple of charms from Charms Creations.

Southern Girls - Fathers Day

Welcome to another Southern Girls challenge & this week it's Fathers Day which is early September
here in New Zealand.

To start with I stenciled my background with Vicki Boutin iridescent glaze & then sprayed with Shimmerz paints. I have used mainly Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope collection for my embellishing & everything else.

My photo is from a few years ago when we had a lovely afternoon at the daffodil lawns in our local botanical gardens, it's hard to get a photo of hubby but this was the perfect opportunity & I love this one of him & the girls.

Southern Girls - Boys are the Bomb

Welcome back to another Southern Girls challenge, this time it is boys are the bomb. I don't have boys so I had to think about this one. I ended up going with photos of one of our dogs, we rescued him from a local shelter about seven years ago & he quickly became a member of the family. He was a super sweet boy & we all adored him. Unfortunately we lost him to cancer at just 2 years old which was devastating for us but we have lots of happy memories of him.

Anyway I have used Vicki Boutin's Color Kaleidoscope collection for this one, I fussy cut all the hearts off one sheet of paper & then stitched them all together, some I have popped up on foam dots to add some dimension. My gold background is Lindy's Magical shakers & my title is from Bramble Fox.

Southern Girls - Spots & Dots

Hi there, I can't believe how fast the month's are flying by & that we are already half way through the year!!
Time for another Southern Girls challenge & the challenge is spots & dots. I have gone for dots & my dots are enamel dots & little pearl dots. They are not obvious when you first look at my layout (see my close ups below) but I think it's the little details that just complete a layout.

Welcome back to another Southern Girls Challenge & this time it is sparkle & shine. Add some glitter, some sparkly bling or something shiny to your project. I have added a super cute sparkly bow to my layout.

Southern Girls - Autumn

Hi there & welcome  to another Southern Girls challenge,  I am back on Team Trace this week & the challenge is Autumn. It is definitely Autumn now here in New Zealand & has cooled down a lot in the last few weeks. Good staying inside & crafting weather!!

Southern Girls - Girl Power

Hi there, I am back with another Southern Girls Challenge & this time the theme is Girl Power. I couldn't think of a better photo for this challenge than this one of my sister taken last year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer & she was picking up her wig. It's such a great shot with the sunlight coming through & shining the heart on her & the light above her head. I had bought this chippie with Vicky in mind & as soon as I saw the photo knew it was a perfect match.

The words on the chippie also describe perfectly how she has handled the whole experience & why I made this layout for this challenge. I am happy to report that nearly a year on she has completed all her treatment, her tumour has gone & she is doing really well!! 😃

Southern Girls - Love is in the air

Happy New Year & welcome to Team Trace's first challenge of 2019, Love is in the Air.
