Artfull Crafts Challenge

Layouts to Sept 2015

These are some of the layouts I have completed this year to end of September, there are a few more from the Scrap Away retreat which I haven't photgraphed yet so I will add those later. 

This first lot are from a fantastic four days away in Hanmer in August with scrappy friends Nic & Heidi:

Scrappin Patch June Sketch & CMH # 48

 

 

I am combining this post for both challenges because I have once again left it to the last minute to upload these photos even though I finished the layouts last week... :)  anyway:

 

My first layout is for the Scrappin Patch June Sketch:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have used Echo Park Hello Summer range, although alot of the strips behind the photo are actually washi tape.

 

   and my second layout is for Challenge Me Happy # 48 which is a recipe challenge for which you had to use:

More than 1 photo
Sewing
2 or more patterned papers
Washi tape
Sequins
Anchor

 

 

 

I am not actually sure what the background pp is as it was one I had had awhile & had cut off the bottom strip, my second pp is in the title of the diecut of the anchor & the arrow.

CMH #39

 

The challenge at Challenge Me Happy this fortnight is "White Space" & this is my layout:

It's not always easy to leave a lot of white space on a layout without feeling like it needs just that little something extra but I really like the clean & simple look & am really pleased with how this turned out.
The papers are my current favourites Cashmere Dame from Glitz Design.

I love the Color Room's palette this week:

I've used Glitz Cashmere Dame pp which I absolutely love & I think they go well with this palette.

The photo of Aimee was taken in April at Hanmer Springs for her 13th birthday. I took her & 2 friends there for the night & this photo was taken in the hot pools. Actually she was getting sick of me taking photos & she turned around to tell me so when I snapped this one..

CMH #34 Challenge

 I created this layout for the CMH #34 Challenge, it's a sketch challenge:

I thought it was a great sketch & as I recently bought a hexagon mask & also had some hexagon chipboard I decided to give it a go.

I used texture paste on the mask which you can just see under the chipboard. The gorgeous paper is from Scrapcake, the flowers from Kaisercraft & Manor House & the cute little house embellishment is Prima.

Labour Weekend Challenge

Scrappin Patch are having a Labour weekend challenge, it's a recipe challenge & the ingredients are:

1 piece cardstock
3 pieces patterned paper
3 buttons
1 banner / bunting
ribbon or twine
5 stars
2 word title / sentiment

also free to use:

as many photos as you like
punches / dies
journalling
ink / mists or paint
masks

and this is my layout:

 I have used kraft cardstock & MME Miss Caroline papers & the alpha's are Prima, also twine, buttons & a little glimmermist.
